Bill Peaper has been part of Industry Wales since 2014 and is currently Project Leader working with employers’ government and providers on skills development. He is supporting Welsh employer’s skills ambition to stay competitive. In his role Bill strives to ensure the skills priorities and needs of employers in the Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Technology, Metals, Mechanical and Electrical sectors are met in Wales. Bill has over 30 years’ experience in vocational education in the sectors including working for Semta as National Manager for Wales.

 

Recently, Bill:

• Developed Flexible skills Partnership projects for Engineering Manufacture and Digital Sectors

• Supported the development and review of National Occupational Standards for engineering manufacture

• Coordinated the Engineering Manufacture Skills group for CCR RSP

• Became a member of CAVC Engineering Employers Steering Group

• Became a member of the CCR Employment and Skills Board

• Supported employers in sourcing support for skills development in Wales.
